It will probably be announced March 2023 ahead of the financial year ending. It will probably then be delayed 6 months. It will probably be buggy and need 6 hotfixes straight after launch. It will probably get 1 ObsidianAnt video made about it.

Why anyone would wish to buy a drink - even as immersion - is beyond me... But if that is what you want, well, who am I to naysay you?

Just think how much fun folk could be having playing the perpetual alpha instead: Having to get up out of bed, run around like a headless chicken, take a train and hope that they don't fall through the environment into space, eventually find their ship and hopefully manage to take off without dying, it is so much fun!

I just don't see the point. If it's that important, especially now we have sitting (for all those thousands of hours you need to sit in a space game), then just go to the pub, and sod the game.

I don't see the point after doing it once, sitting there for a minute, then going back to do what you were doing before.

I don't want to victimise the op as it's obviously his dream, and I won't deny anyone their dreams like yourself - I just don't want the development to suffer for however many months it takes to develop drinking, and months of bugfixes after. As to me, it takes away from development of other more repeatable and 'useful' game elements.

So whilst I have been a bit blunt, I'm not here for an argument with someone who comes along to disagree with us for the sake of it - I'm just stressing my opinion too - I don't see the point, I really don't.

Now we can sit back and wait for people to attack us though Ratty! Shall we choose now to go for labelling them as white knights, karens, sjws, or shall we choose our own label now? Perhaps we should be fanbois, spelt badly because it's fashionable, or white knights again as an irony?

God I sound really bitter in this post - oh well, I guess it'll fit with the labels! So let's run with it! The floor is yours mate!!!1!one!

Don't forget, when you do a delivery mission, you actually get to pick up the box and walk around with it (until the inevitable glitching out happens). Then you get to go and order a coffee from a vendor who may or may not give it to you, to wind down after a long day!

I am not going to say immersion because it would just give people reasons to make fun of me...

But when sitting was added I actually sat down once. I visited a nice asteroid station (if I remember correctly I even started a thread about), sat down in a bar, listened to the music, drank a (real) beer (or two or five, that's probably why I don't know if I remember correctly) and whatched the ships land and take off (enough with the brackets.
After that moment the game felt a dozen times more alive and that feeling is not going away even though I am probably not going to sit down again. It just changed the way I approach the game. And I guess that's a good thing.
