Loved the video, but couldn't help but notice that 2 billion credit balance during the trade showcase :p That's some loaded trader.

haha... *runs to edit* Damn those high bounty players! I swear.


For the borderless capture I adjusted the field of view on the sidewinder and tilted the camera up using head view. Takes some getting use to :D

Very clever!! This is one of the reasons I'd like external views in the game. Although I don't think it's a good idea for combat etc, I could see fan-made movies made completely in-game being a great past time. They'll definitely be better than Star Wars Episode 1.

Anyway, well done, I enjoyed that.

Nope I definitely bought the cargo at Aulin Enterprise. I did use some video footage from a different station though, nice catch. I'll have to fix that :p

Wow very cool video it also shows why third person should never be in Elite Dangerous that was some very good flying by both Cmdr's .;)
Keep it up it looks like the video was created by an expert but I know you are new at trying so it is even more impressive .:cool:

Don't know I thought it would have been a fantastic argument for 3PV, although rather than 3PV I would much prefer a FSX style playback option with no 3PV in the game itself - with 3PV and free roaming cameras allowed in playback.

It would allow those that want to look around and make vids to do what they want, but no use for live gaming whatsoever. I know it won't happen, but that would be the best of both worlds !!

Thank you, means quite a lot. I wouldn't mind having a non-combat type of camera for creating videos, as long as it doesn't give players some un-warranted edge in combat.

Even if it was something as simple as locking head movement (forward only) and removing the hud/interior windshield from view. Would have a similar effect that'd be quite a bit easier to fly with.

How in Braben's name do you have over 2 billion credits?

Edit: I'm doing the crappy match and even with proginator cells selling at 700 a pop you can only make about 300k with a trip in a Lakon with the most cargo space, and that takes 10 minutes just one way to most starports. You can make maybe 100k selling other things back to Aulin but it was by far the highest profit commodity in the game so far. Even if he did 20 minute round trips to get 400K that would take over 4 thousand trips making it over 86 thousand minutes. That's 1400 hours. 60 days of straight gameplay of only trading.


Editing this just to clear it up, OP explained he killed a player with a negative bounty and became Donald Trump instantly.

Later in game we should be able to buy some kind of censor bot a camera or some kind of censor unit so we can find a convoy or mission targets route.
That would send information to our ships.
But I think there may be an option to hide the front view of the ship for creating video. May be an idea worth investigating.

A fat wallet: Originally I chased down someone who had hacked their credits into a negative balance, around -750 million. After he died it multiplied mine instead of removing.
