The Last of Us - Part II

The Last of Us has been one of those console exclusive games that I always wanted to play, ever since I saw it.
Finally, after I purchased myself a PS4 Pro I was able to play it through, and wow, it actually is *that* good!

So it wasn't a surprise that Sony, and Naughty Dog wanted to create a sequel.
This teaser was shown at PlayStation Experience back in december.

I'm hyped. :D

Love to play this from what I've read about it, not enough to buy a console though.

The Last of Us alone doesn't justify the cost of a new PS4. But nonetheless it was a brilliant game and I'm really looking forward to the sequel. :)

I have no console, but I had a chance to play it here and there thanks to friends who have one :) There's definitely very high production value, and it excels at being an interactive story. Gameplay-wise it's nothing to talk about though, not that it was a focus of this game anyway.

Wow damn, wasn't expecting to find a thread like this around here.

I made a video you may be interested in:

It discusses some of the fan theories and all that, along with some of my own TLOU remastered gameplay, although I made it really soon after the announcement and it might be a bit out of date by now. :p

Cheers!
Actually I try not to watch any of those videos because I don't want to spoil *anything*. I did however watch the 40 minute press conference from last year's E3.

That's fair enough. I can see where you're coming from. Personally I've played the first game way too much - and I still regularly play the online multiplayer on PS4, so I feel excited to be able to talk about the unknown!

I dont understand how these games dont the eventually make it to PC though...same with red dead redemption. I know they like exclusivity the consoles but after a few years surely it makes sense.

Sony own the rights to TLOU, just like a Netflix original won't ever appear on Amazon Prime :p

Yeah I know. But think about this... By having such a fantastic game as TLOU on Playstation 3 only, and as it gains legendary status, Sony gets a free sale boost for any upcoming console as the players know they have better exclusives than the competition. So having great exclusive games only gives the company more money in the end I think, and developers doesn't need to take other hardware setups in consideration when developing games.
I decided to buy a PS4 Pro just to enjoy those exclusives. And I dont think I'm not alone to do that.

I've been a lifelong PC gamer, but there was a shameful midlife crisis where I turned to consoles - specifically the PS3/X360 era. The Last of Us was the last game I played on console before being able to purchase a decent gaming PC - a pretty decent way to go out. The Last of Us part 2 probably will move PS4s - hell I'm tempted.

Perhaps not by itself, but add Red Dead Redemption 2, Nier: Automata, Persona 5, The Last Guardian, Uncharted 4, Horizon Zero Dawn, Yakuza 0... Sony are building a pretty impressive list of exclusives (and 'near' exclusives) that are out or coming soon.

PS4 that is anouther reason FD has to bring more fun to ED. I still remember having a lot of fun on the first Halo on Xbox as well as Jet Set Radio future. The consoles do have some great games but the incompatibility between generations stopped me buying them this time.

That's the reason why I bought a PS4, to enjoy those great games I would be missing on. Don't really care what platform I play great games on, even though I prefer PC first and foremost. But if I have to buy a console to enjoy a fantastic piece of artwork, then I'll buy it without hesitation. I would never buy a product from Nintendo though, but that's another story. :p
