It was the last run of the night...
I had started a robigo run earlier on in the day got all but 3 of the missions handed in, and I had to go do real life for a couple of hours... I knew my missions had about 3 or 4 hours left so I didnt sweat it.
when I can back I had got side tracked after coming home, I had failed one mission, I had 10mins on the other and a hour on the last. so I launched at once to try and make the time, 2 jumps and 2 insta-dictions later and im in the system headed a cushy 175ls to the terminal, no probs it was close but I made it in with1.30 left. And that was it, one more run.. the last run of the night, bags of time left, easy..
One jump later im on my way I get jumped two more times buy the feds and as I drop down at the station a pirate clipper drops with me, hes chasing me to the port at a right angle, so I had to compensate for the drift. I bottle it and slow down too early and almost come to a stop way too far away from the letterbox, I cant quite see in, and in that tense moment as im waiting for the drives to spool me up to a reasonable speed.. SCAN DETECTED!!!
in that moment I knew I only had one chance, and that was to boost, I didnt have line of sight into the station and had to fight the thruster to get lined up, I belly flop thrugh the letterbox loose my shields and start heading straight to the back of the station at 300 odd ms I fight the ship roud 180 and just nudge the back wall with my thrusters and limp to the landing pad to cash in.
ITS ALWAYS THE LAST RUN OF THE NIGHT OR THE ''I'L JUST QUICKLY DO THIS..'' that catch you out and the game come to get you.
