The long, long journey of the Wandering Star

After weeks of preparation, everything is ready to start on my new Journey.
I think it deserves a capital letter as it will be no small thing.

My plan is to fly along all arms of the Milky Way, with the support of my carrier, the Wandering Star, and that of the friendly commanders I'll meet along the way.

The DSSA Network is far from being entirely deployed, but a few of its pilots are already settled enough to provide some Tritium when I'll fly by their location.
Others are not yet fully operational, but kindly willing to share some of the little fuel they have left from their own journey.

As of now, my route includes the the DSSA #48 Aristarchos in Xibalba, DSSA#46 Callisto in the Arcadian Stream, the DSSA#23 Buurian Anchorage in the Empyrean Straits, the DSSA#11 Pride of Tel Fyr in the Outer Orion-Perseus Conflux, the DSSA# 44 Kraut in the Outer Orion Spur and the DSSA#16 Existential Crisis in Temple.

I will fly by all other DSSA Carriers along the way in any case, as it's nice to have milestones on such a long expedition.

And I can't stress enough how such a massive difference the DSSA network will make in shaping deep space exploration, and pilots' presence in the Galaxy in general.

I'll be out in the Black for an awful amount of time, and it will be interesting to see how the network will evolve as I fly by it. Also, quite selfishly, I must confess that
I hope miners will join in at some point and cut some of the time I'll have to spend shooting at rocks.

Anyway, there's room for tweaks, but this is roughly the route I will take.

The several stops to refuel will hopefully shorten the time I'll have to bite the bullet and mine Tritium, but I am aware that the whole trip will require a titanic mining effort.

For this reason, the expedition is open to all commanders who would like to hitch a ride even for a short stretch and help with refueling.

If you want to see some sights and you love shooting at astreroids, this trip is for you!

I'll be flying past the Bubble a few times, as well as Colonia, Explorers Anchorage and any DSSA Carrier already in position, so if you want to hop in and hitch a ride to those locations please let me know. And if you want to help with the mining along the way I'll never say no:)

To all explorers out there, the Wandering Star is also available for refuel, repair and restock, so if you are in dire straights give me a shout and I can change my course to help.

You can follow my progress on Inara, or even drop a friend request in game to check where I'm at.

See you out there!

Good luck on your journey, CMDR! The Buurian Anchorage Tritium Depot supervisor will be waiting for you when you arrive!

Good luck Cmdr! O7

I'm on similar voyage in my Phantom, the DSS Starfish, here's my rough route plan tho I'm not sticking to it rigidly. Started to read through your logs on Inara, good stuff! I'll drop you a friend request next time I'm in game if I may. Next stop for me is Pirate's Depot and Skull and Crossbones to top up on jumponium - how do you cope with all that mining 🤯

Unfortunately, a recent committment in RL has slowed me down somewhat and I'm way behind schedule - at this rate Star Citzen will be finished before I am! Maybe I'll see you out in the black.

What a cool challenge Pisodeuorrior !

Thanks man, it will take forever:) I think my route will take me back to the Bubble around mid-December. I'll stop there until Odyssey so that I can continue withe the new tools and suits and everything else. Obviously I'll have to engineer them first:)

So, considering this is Part 2 out of 9, I figure it will take at least another year, assuming I'll get as much support from the DSSA. Which has been consistently awesome so far, I must say.

Good luck Cmdr! O7

Cool, save travels! I had done pretty much the same thing with my Asp too. I cut it shorter when I learned about the carriers update, and changed the expedition to include carrier support and everything related.

Having now retraced part of my previous route I can say that with the carrier tagging along it takes about double the time...

Glad someone reads my logs, I pretty much just do them for the records:) Feel free to use the services of the Wandering Star if our paths cross, and obviously feel free to drop a friend request in game.

Hehe you're crazy, that's a huuuge trip there ;)

When you pass the Arcadian Stream, the M.R.S.C. Mercator should be able to help out a bit with Tritium Supply and Mining.

o7 and good luck!

Fantastic expedition you have planned there, CMDR! Best of luck! I can vouch that the crew of the Buurian Anchorage will take great care of you! o7!
