He sees your dog at the bottom of the stairs.

Right guys. In a couple of weeks I will be moving house, to my mum's boyfriend's place. My dog Fudge is coming too.

A few days ago, we brought Fudge over to visit, so she could see her new home.

Thing is, a cat already lives there. His name is Splodge. And as Fudge was running around downstairs... Splodge was at the top of the stairs, and looked so angry. The look on his face!

I wish I took a photo.

Splodge will be the boss though. He's already bashed Fudge on the head.

Cats easily get angry about any kind of change. Particularly if they perceive it as a potential inconvenience to them even if it's something they'd never interacted with before.
A bit like Frontier Forum users.

Anyway, cats need dogs in their life. Stops them from getting egotistical and full of themselves. Dogs help keep them grounded.

Certainly at home Stupid Cat is kept grounded by two Corgi-Collie half-breeds pounding him into it.

Ours is called daft cat, fleabag, furball and Oy you.

And you should see her face if she get's fed anything other than Go-Kat...

We have two dogs and three cats in our house. The male big white one (avatar) is ruled by a female Yorkie. Which in turn are controlled by a timid looking cat. We have a one eyed cat, who is just mates with everyone and just does what he likes. Then we have the mother of this lot, who basically moved next door, when the Yorkie, moved in.

If the cat has somewhere high up, out of reach of the dog, that he feels comfortable in; then he will stick around. Otherwise, he may just move out. You really have to stop the dog, chasing the cat and all should be fine.
