General / Off-Topic The making of Blake's 7

Thanks Cody, I'm old enough to have been around when they were first on, this is fascinating stuff. Such an overlooked and underrated programme I always wanted it to have the success Dr Who had, but never seemed to catch on in quite the same way.

Thanks

Thanks for the links

I loved Blake's 7, got them all on VHS in the early 90's - now have them all on DVD but haven't watched them for a good few years.

There were rumours of a B7 movie in the works last year but not sure if it'll get made, or indeed be any good if it does. B7 was a classic, no one can play Avon other than Paul Darrow.

Aye, it was a great series, with great characters - all flawed in some way, and beautifully scripted and acted.

Blake's 7 was always a great favourite of mine and my husband's (Wrongway), and I remember seeing a list of most requested re-runs, on Points of View I think - where Blake's 7 kept cropping up all over the place as well as the first few places on the list! :D I can't understand how such a popular programme didn't continue for much longer than it did, it was wonderful!

My personal favourite was Vila, poor guy! ;)

Ah, the Supreme Commander Sevalan.

80's Kitch at its very best, they don't make 'em like that anymore!

Ah yes, Servalan... deliciously dangerous! Daniela Nardini played her - rather well - in the audio series.
