Malanges (Heng Ring), 27 January, 3311 – The Dark Wolf Marlinists (DWM) have announced the relocation of their primary military base of operations from Aventine to Malanges, reflecting the newfound stability and prosperity within Marlinist territory. With the region now secure and thriving, the move positions DWM to better respond to external threats and maintain vigilance against harassment attacks from Close Encounters Corp (CEC) and Cofradia de Accion Independiente (CAII).
Despite the clear outcome of the war, with Marlinist forces securing their borders and pushing CEC and CAII into retreat, both factions refuse to acknowledge their defeat or negotiate a formal peace. Instead, they continue to harass the Marlinists with terrorist-style attacks, the most recent incident attributed to CEC forces.
"An unofficial 'quiet' peace was sought through the withdrawal of offensive forces," stated a representative of the Alliance for Marlinist Independence (AMI). "However, instead of reciprocating, CEC has interfered in Marlinist territory. This interference will not go unanswered. Any attacks on our people or systems will be met with decisive responses."
AMI leadership has reiterated that stability could be maintained if CEC abided by the informal boundary at the Malanges/HIP 19757 border. "If CEC stays on their side, we will stay on ours. As we have made clear through words and actions, each act of aggression only leads to further consequences for them. They decide their own fate." the statement added.
