I used to live in Baltah'Sine. I was born and raised there and would still be there except for the actions of the Empire's corrupt senators. They radicalized and enabled the NMLA. They drove us from our homes. They are responsible for the deaths of nearly a million people. All of that done as part of making us scapegoats in their plot to overthrow Arissa. And now somehow Arissa has the idea we are the ones she needs to keep under the watchful eye of her security forces? The same security forces that were the tools used to nearly drive us into extinction?

I know you important people don't always like listening to us commonfolk but I think you also need to take a close look at these trade agreements Arissa is offering. I make my living hauling trade so I know a little about these things and I don't like the smell of this. We're being offered something we already have -- trade with the Empire. We also have trade with the Feds and the Alliance. So what's Arissa really offering us? Economic dependency, that's what. I read it in the news feed: "Empire-based companies as preferred partners." Maybe you don't see it but I do. That's going to turn into "exclusive trade partners," cutting us off from trade with our friends like Sirius Corporation and the Feds who helped put us where we are today.

No, I don't like it all. They're being sneaky about it but plain and simple it's a way to enslave us again by making us dependent on their trade. Start behaving in a way they don't like, expressing opinions they don't want to hear, and they shut down the trade to starve us into compliance while using their navy operating from our own bases to make sure we don't start trading with others to go around them.

It's a bum deal and if you know what's good for us you wont take it. Arissa's got nothing to offer we don't already have. Tell her "no!"

September '06 they came after me and mine, drove us out of our homes and forced us to beg the Federation and Sirius for help. Now she wants us to make up and be friends again? Have us forgive and forget the violence and oppression she herself wrought upon us? Have us bow and scrape to her again?

It seems she lost more than the last vestiges of her credibility during her ignominious incarceration.

We were scapegoated for the sins of her own senators. Persecuted on her misguided orders. Killed to suit her reckless political whim.

So what did we do? We thwarted her captors and their attempts to widen the galactic conflict; repeatedly affirmed our commitment to fairness and justice and helped bring about the destruction of the plot that threatened the very existence of the Empire.

If anyone should be groveling to make amends and seek forgiveness - it's her.

She wants us to return to the fold like grateful sheep but her frost-addled brain can't comprehend that having tasted freedom no one would ever willingly go back to servitude and slavery.

She can go to hell - and she can take Patreus, the Navy and the ISS with her.

The Emperor forced us out of our homes, exiling us light years away from friends and family.

Once in the Marlinist colonies, to add insult to injury, Imperial factions tried to take us over again (LP 659-31). I end up with a 1 billion credit imperial bounty on my head, for the sole crime of defending my newfound home.

And the Emperor now wants to play nice. That all is forgiven. I can never forgive. I can never forget.
