The Marlin Standard: New Governor Grows Impatient with Neo-Marlinist Asylum Vetting Process

The vetting and asylum process for the Neo-Marlinist refugees from Mudhrid has been ongoing for over three weeks and the progress is unacceptable according to new Governor Herbert Poole of Hyades Sector RO-P b6-2.

The Exiled Marlinist Assembly of Baltah'Sine was swept into power in the system last week after plummeting support for Minister Aaron Whyte’s Marlinism Reformation Party caused snap elections. Minister Whyte, who has previously voiced sympathy for the Neo-Marlinist cause, faced intense public backlash for granting the Neo-Marlinist Order of Mudhrid leader Landgrave Delacroix and his followers asylum in the system.

While Delacroix is in ACT custody, the asylum applications and vetting of his followers is being handled by the Marlinist Constabulary. The pace with which they are working is unacceptable according to Governor Poole.

"The information provided to us is almost nonexistent. Minister Whyte was content to have the process drag on indefinitely. There is absolutely no security around the Steel Majesty megaship, other than Neo-Marlinist Order of Mudhrid fighters, and ships carrying the Neo-Marlinism banner are free to come and go as they please. This is unacceptable. We are partnering with the Dark Wolf Marlinists organization to formulate a plan for the safety and security of our citizens. We will be announcing the new regulations and peacekeeping protocols for our system in a few days’ time."

Have you a PS4 presence? I ask, because even though I’m already committed to an independent squadron I support your right to self-determination, and I’m always keen and eager to join the Interstellar Brigade ✊

No dedicated PS4 presence yet. Almost everyone is PC so far. We have one "supporter" now who is PS4. We have carved out a role and channel on our Discord that allows for independent pilots (or those already in another squadron) but support the cause to hang out. We are using the "supporters" at this point like a militia or navy auxiliary to just be called upon when there is a war or are facing a hostile player faction.

Only requirement is to click the "support this squadron" button on Inara.
