Since the announcement of the Marlinist starport initiative and the permission from Universal Cartographics to rename the Marlinist Colonies with permanent system names, the Marlin Standard has been conducting polling of the Marlinist citizenry to see their preference.
The results of our poll are below. They are presented in priority order of the people’s preference for the placement of new stations should the initiative not gather enough materials for all 6 proposed stations.
These results aren’t binding but do show the average Marlinist preference toward symbolic names.
The starport construction initiative has seen heavy traffic around the Colonies but still has a long way to go. The Marlinist Consulate is renewing its plea for independent pilots to help “us finish strong.” The governor of HIP 22550 has asked those with carriers near Stillman Hub who aren’t actively unloading materials to move to a nearby system to make way for deliveries to be brought closer for unloading.
