PvP The mighty Adder takes on a Corvette

Its hilarious when griefers interdict me, then complain over comms about my crimes being on.

Indeed, it’s also incredibly annoying to get interdicted by a clean ship and then get a bounty for fighting back. It’s been happening a lot lately in Shin. I always have crimes off and I generally have a bounty though.

If you're wanted, then he's using the system against you. Is this frowned upon by the "wanted" community?

Generally if I initiate the attack, then I think it is fair for him to have crimes on. If you attacked me when I have a bounty, I think it is ok to have crimes on. If it is a prearranged duel then it’s frowned upon to have crimes on. People attacking you for no reason and then complaining because you have crimes on is laughable.

You're a legend! Next up Hauler v Cutter?

Done that lol, go to 7:29 https://youtu.be/B4R1ZWJFuKY

Not really, but you missed his point.. If two players are clean, one with crimes off (A) and one with crimes on(B) - player A will get wanted for defending himself against player B's attack. A lot of us run crimes off because we want to have good duels without interference..

Returning fire against an aggressor should not be classed as a crime (regardless of crimes on or off), then the problem goes away.

I do love your vids 3 of 7(9), now you gonna get me to build an adder like you did with the Sidey.

Keep em coming.

Good piloting doubt you wouldve survived without the security though lol

Bruh...do you even Elite? The security forces add nothing in these specific PvP encounters. Now, if the NPC security forces were as bad*ss as the NPC railgun ASPs in CZs then we'd have an agreement, but they're not.

Without the reporting of crimes, they aren't an aggressor though, the authorities have no knowledge of them firing the first shot because you haven't reported it. All they know is that you are shooting at someone who is innocent.

Good point. Is the crimes flag readable by other cmdrs, in the contacts screen or something? I don't remember seeing that. Nevertheless, if someone asks me for a duel, of course Crimes Off is one of the terms or there's no duel.

Do you even play elite? NPC secutity can do damage if your ships not fully engineered and if a adder is doing that much to a corvette its definitely not that engineered

More impressed that you kept the canopy the whole fight than anything. Last time I tried a shieldless Adder the canopy was the first thing to go...it was the Krait of it day.

No.

Only if they change the mode in your presence (which gives a notification in the status/event window) or if you shoot them while they are clean and not in an anarchy will you find out.

It looked like a shield-tank build that the Adder circumvented by using reverb mines. It's quite possible that the Corvette only had its bulkheads for hull defence, and they might have even been the standard lightweight plating (probably with the heavy duty mod) for the purpose of keeping weight down. I know from experience that Corvette hulls are pretty squishy even against NPCs if they aren't backed up with several HRPs.

Thanks threeofseven,

Nice to see mines being used. I only use them on trade ships, mainly to cover my "advancing in another direction". Do not think I would dream of using against a player.

If self defence wasn't a crime then if you shot someone first and they shot back in defence, your computer would not recognise it as a crime and therefore not report it...
