Theres open, which i have been playing in lately because a player faction that i support plays in open
Theres private group, where members of any like minded inclination can get together and play ED exactly the way they like it.
There is solo, where those with the want to play exclusively with and against the game environment can do that.
The obsession with modes on this board reminds me of the HL Mencken quote:
“Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, (in some other mode), may be happy.”
