The moment you're reading the forum, and realise that you've done almost all of the things in this thread, several times, especially the one where you haven't set power priorities and the assassination target kills you about 10s after you deployed hardpoints....

...and have to finally admit to yourself that you're an Elite .

In the early days before they changed the defaults, the moment you realise that all those containers used to be in your cargo hold and you must have accidently hit the 'Jettison all cargo' key.

  • when you low or high wake out of the combat instance after having defeated the pirate wing you better had paid a closer look to the combat aftermath when you heard the message "hatch breaker limpet" incoming...

Fortunately, if you use a ship as module storage (installing the weakest powerplant possible to save some credits), switching to one you hear immediately the ice cracking sound (at least in large ships).

There's not enough room to fly between that Tauri star and the neutron star. Emergency stop, heat still rising....Got to over 480% heat but somehow escaped with 5% hull left. Only had to limp 100 jumps (7500lys) to the nearest station to cash in my 400mil of exploration data.

Arrive at delivery station, try to deliver, realise you have bought the cargo from the commodity market instead collecting it from the mission board.... (My first transport mission as a noob :)

I'd managed to completely forget that synthesis lets you re-stock your life support on the fly.
