Excuse any grammatical errors there might be in this text, but as i'm writing this i am still shaking of pure adrenaline from what just happened.
As distant stars set out i always wanted to know if one could do the mission in a hauler. Why? Because haulers are cool of course, and it would be quite a challenge. So i set out to do so, and after extensive grinding i finally got a hauler with enough jumprange. So i set out, hoping for the best. As arrived at the system known by me as "calculator point" because you of course have to use Dr Kaii's calculator, i jumped with the amount of fuel reccomended by the calculator. I quickly realized however, on my first jump that this amount of fuel would be insufficent, and i therefore jumped back. I decided then to try to do the climb but this time with a jumprange of 49-ish instead of the ridicilous 53. I jumped, supercharged and supercharged, and i quickly saw my supercruise meter drain down. As i prepared the last jump to Ah cancri my supercruise meter was almost depleted, and i turned off all non essential systems, and with life support, sensors, fuel scoop, cargo scoop and AFMU turned off i jumped into hyperspace to ah cancri. And arrived, with around 1% of fuel left. To say it mildly, the next few seconds trying to scoop fuel were quite intense.

Thanks to everyone who inspired me to do this, to Dr. Kaii and erimus who originally laid out the plans to the cancri climb, and RNG who gave me a lot of good rolls! After traveling 700k lightyears and playing for over 2 years this is by far the most intense moment i've ever experienced in Elite, and something i will remember for quite some time.
Fly safe!
