the mystery of NPClient.log

Hi everyone,

i just stumbled across a file called NPClient.log in %USERNAME%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore that is now nearly 4 GB. I was always wondering why my hard drive fills so quickly. A quick google showed me, that it has something to do with trackIR, but i'm not using it. I got curios when i saw the last changed time. It's the same as my last exit from Elite Dangerous. After a quick test, it updates everytime i exit the main game window back to my launcher. It comes together with a FreeTrackClient.log file.
Anyone else?

I have the VirtualStore directory also, but there are no files by that name. I have TrackIR installed and neither of those files show up when I do a file search. Have you tried viewing the files with a text editor? Have you run Malwarebytes to scan for malware? You can also try renaming or deleting those files, use notepad to create empty files with the original names and set them to read only and see what happens.

NPClient.log is blocked by Elite Dangerous.
After closing ED i can delete it without a problem. File is now write protected. Everything seems to work and size doesn't grow anymore.
It seemed to be created from FaceTrackNoIR that automatically hooked itself to elitedangerous and wrote the file.
Solution: Uninstalled

Do you think it's something to do with "Enable Virtual Cache" in the options menu of the ED launcher ? Makes sense to me.
