I think I read the cheapest XR variant will cost about $1250 (~£999?), and the most expensive is around $2500.

I look forward to seeing all of these cracked screens and tears. Lol

Meanwhile in reality, I'm perfectly happy with my £380 2017 Huawei Mate 10 Pro, which has all of the same features, and more, for a fraction of the price!

No wonder android have the market share!

At least Nvidia comes up with interesting tech. Something Apple haven't done in almost two decades(perhaps not accounting for original iPhone 3G).

No. Since Nvidia didn't come up with that
CUDA is great. Their SLI actually works(cough cough crossfire). Also, even the whole ray tracing thing might be good for gaming and GPU industry in a long run. We shall see.
