The new lighting is amazing in my opinion

I see there are some complaints regarding the new lighting however, I find it amazing without having to adjust anything. *shrugs* I'm really impressed with the overall clarity, colour gamut, blend and the overall sharpness and cohesion between objects for me appears greatly enhanced adding to the realism a great deal.

Indeed I can't see what the fuss is about everything looks fine and much improved from what I've seen.

I noticed things are more responsive like the galmap which is nice.

But then everything is set to ultra and 1.25 what's a face thing on mine maybe different settings for others or hardware?

Yup same, it does seem that this is the case, some poeple appeared to be unaware regarding many settings in the Nvidia control panal for exmaple (which is fair enough). However, I had already spent ages calibrating my monitor when new.

I love the look to space now. Flying by a star and seeing more colours in space than ever and just the tones to it all. However, that said, it still needs a tweak to preserve the HUD consistency and some of the more bloom intensive aspects. But generally this is an excellent upgrade in my opinion.

I like the changes too. Only gripes are how the sun affects the color of the galaxy in the skybox. And maybe how cockpit windows look way more streaky, makes me want to go get a bottle of windex.

My monitor is a temporary cheap model, so I had to make adjustments for brightness and black boost on it, and I turned the gamma way down in game. Things in space and stations look great. But then I access station services and a black curtain drops and it's like someone put out the lights. It may just be my monitor. It is also too dark while driving at night in ATS and ETS2. So I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing dark station services?

If I turn gamma up 3 clicks the services screens look OK, but then stations, planets, suns are way too bright.

That's because you're a fancy pants, and no one likes you, btw ;)

It's OK, but I just preferred the sharpness of the old lighting :)

Yes, from what I've played on PS4 like 30/35min and I do have my TV and PS4 calibrated correctly, it looks great. I've been close to an orange star and a blue dwarf and it's really great how intense the lighting and colors are, how it affect the atmosphere, you can almost feel the star's power and heat through your screen. I did not experienced the issue of the HUD colors that some people talked about yestersday.

I also approached a USS and it was some wreckage and a dead floating eagle, I had to turn ON the night vision because it was really dark and confusing, pretty cool.

I thought space is full of contrast, I feel like light is now present everywhere. No more extreme contrast on darkness of space. When I turned away from star, my cockpit was still lit AF. I mean color grading on light side is awesome but dark sides to me look weirdly lit. Maybe it's Beluga light system or I don't know. Definitely improvement over 3.2.

I play KSP so I'm pretty much used to light being ON/OFF and nothing in between. Space air confirmed?
