The new mining meta - 180m per hour - you`re welcome

o7 Commanders!

Becouse sharing is caring, i like to reveal the single best place in the galaxy for subsurface mining. I am able to drill out 400t osmium per hour, which you can do too with some practise and the right setup. And becouse im such a nice (or stupid?) guy, i will also permanently park my FC nearby, buying osmium for the maximum possible price of 450.000Cr per ton to befriend the whole galaxy through miningmissions. I will do ~100k loss per ton you mine, but you wont ever make me bankrupt (prove me wrong!).

400t per hour * 450k Cr = 180m per hour

In words:

Step 1
20220204215831_1.jpg

■ Build yourself a dedicated subsurface miner
■ Fly to system "Hip 104504", planet 12
■ Line up as you see on this picture, the platinum hotspot HAVE to be on the left side
■ Fly into the rhodplumsite hotspot
====================================================================================================================================
Step 2
20220204220505_1.jpg

■ Fly closer to the rocks, but stay on the entered side of the ring
■ Now face the planet, then target the rhodplumsite hotspot
■ Move till you are exactly where this screenshot shows you, use the references
  • Rhodplumsite hotspot on the left side 15,5km away
  • About a finger space between right side of screen and right side of the planet
====================================================================================================================================
Step 3
20220204220626_1.jpg

■ Look right under you, fire your Pulsewave, target the tiny Rock, fire Prospector
■ Get close, drill out the Osmium
■ Relog now, you will spawn exactly above the Rock again.
■ Rinse and repeat till your Cargo is full
====================================================================================================================================
Step 4
■ Fly to the Carrier "Rip&Tear" in System "Albardhas", sell Osmium für 450k per ton, restock your Limpets
■ Rinse and repeat till you are rich
- Note that somehow it is not possible to make a buyorder for more then 2b, so i can only set a buyorder for 4500t at a time. I try to reset the orders as much as possible per day.
====================================================================================================================================

Have fun with that as tiny as possible, non-spinning, endless source of osmium (and fly dangerously)!

EDIT:
If anyone is interested, now you can also sell your Bromellite to me. Of course i buy for the maximum possible price of 304k Cr per ton.

■ An awesome System for this is "Albardhas" where my Carrier "Rip&Tear" is parked.
■ Planet 2, the outer highRES overlaps a Bromellite Hotspot (you get almost double from mining in a highRES)
■ When you stack massacre-missions in System "Cuberara" before you mine there, you can passively add a LOT of Credits

  • 4 Factions do give those missions there
  • 2 medium outpost right next to each other, right at the entrance, for a quick stack up
  • Thats 2m extracash for every ship the system authority is poppin (and that you have hit before they do of course)

This is another find i would like to share, becouse you know, sharing is caring!

Oh so they broke the regeneration timer with a reset to zero in an update...
Instead of forcing the delay again to 3 hours its now zero again for osmium items wonder if its still in effect for others...

This used to work for LTD and tritium but they fixed those timer regens...

And it won't get nerfed as its again below that 200 mill per hour limit this time...
Always check local stations are not issuing osmium Fetch missions before selling to carrier as youll get more at the station mission board than carriers per ton offer...

Sharing is caring or rather the more people selling at your FC the more Wing Osmium missions you and your friends can turn in and get even richer...
That was not even my intention but now im VERY(!!!) interested, you might share your knowledge with us as i already did by giving away the location of the best rock in the whole milkyway and tell us where to find those missions on a regular base? You basicly saying this is more then 180m per hour? Did i just push ED into a mighty Inflation by creating this Thread? So many Questions...

Well, i already did deliver, now its your time to shine...

(And btw, i gave away 20b just a few weeks ago to random people, believe it or not im done with any Cr in this Game, playing for the sake of fun...)

If that's what he wanted he could simply do gold/silver wing missions and grab everything from commodity markets.

That said, relogski methods like this had been patched for mining in the past... so looks like one of the patches eventually unfixed it.

Slip Mining??
An old "bug" in the game, that ended up being considered an exploit, even though it wasn't. If a planet has more than one ring, they rotate at highly different speeds. If you then jumped into one ring, and started flying towards the other ring, you would still be gravitational locked to the first ring. The outskirt of the second ring was a great core mining site, except that you had too look out for the rocks in the ring passing your ship at speeds that would instantly kill you if there were any minor contact. Not very prosperous, because of the frequent rebuys, but highly entertaining, and I liked the "strangeness" of the whole thing.

Credit wise it wasn't better than just mining in the ring, and exploit wise, definitely not any worse than relogging in front of the same rock over and over again. More importantly is was great fun, which relogging isn't.
