I never realised the British could speak french so well.

I hope there is a scene in which a french soldier quips that the British vehicles only have one gear and that is reverse.
This would be when the French First Army holds the line at Lille for four days despite being completely cut off, in order to help the BEF escape. Something that is glossed over in Britain.

I would imagine that being shot at is bad where ever you are.
