the next dlc

Want to retract a bit here
For conservation dlc, frontier did things a bit differently compared to previous announcement lines (correct me if I am wrong). The livestream, trailer, free features, update announcement, a bit of time, daily animal showcase and dev diary. In the past it’s been, free feature, update announcement, livestream teaser, big reveal, animal showcase and dev diary.
Also for a build dlc, they announced it roughly 2 weeks before release date instead of the week before.
Wonder if they will mix it up for this dlc as it is more then likely an animal dlc.
Wetlands gave us: some most requested, a new bird plus north Asian, finally a new Australian, a new antelope which players have been requesting for a while now. Although gave us an unpopular candidate and no NA animals. Regardless it covered a lot of bases that majority of us wanted covered. Therefore I want the next dlc to cover bases in areas we are looking at.
I can see another biome combo dlc or an island dlc that covers bases and probably is going to give us 2 unpopular picks.
Now I would like to see more nocturnal animals, I’d like to have a nocturnal build dlc first.

Yup, I think we've gotten as many as five animals in the "upper part" (around the top 10) of the meta list at the time of release. That would be the North American pack, but I also think that was an anomaly. If they were only going by the meta list we would have gotten a wolverine as well.

I think 5 from the list in one pack is probably leaning on the list more than we can expect, but I suspect they'll include at least 3, and if possibly even 4, from whatever's in or near the top 10 (stretching that to the top 15). The key is figuring out the theme to make them work.

Tree Kangaroo/Emu/Wombat/Tasmanian Devil are obvious choices for an Oceania pack.
Emu/Porcupine/Maned Wolf/Hairy Nosed Wombat are good choices for a drylands (desert/grasslands) pack.
Tasmanian Devil/Red River Hog/Wolverine/Gibbon/Tree Kangaroo/Sloth could all be good choices for a rainforests type of pack and expanding that further to just forests, the wolverine.
Tasmanian Devil/Tree Kangaroo/Fossa could all be good Islands pack.
Nocturnal - Tasmanian Devil/Wombat/Porcupine/Sloth are all good choices, and the Maned Wolf/Red River Hog have potential as well.

The only popularly thrown out idea that would be a stretch with that (aside from flying birds and marine animals of course) would be a temperate or taiga/mountains pack. The Wolverine and Walrus (if you stretch that a bit) are the only two animals that would fit that are even in the top 15. Granted the Musk Ox is right outside it, but I doubt it would be an animal pack, much less the next pack. Can definitely see it for the next scenery pack though.

With the Tasmanian Devil in 4 of the first pack ideas, and the fact that they're comfortably at #1 on the meta list, I think it's pretty likely we'll get them in the next pack. Unless of course they go the bird/marine animal route.
Capybara and Przewalski's Horse were both on the #1 on the list at that time. So it seems pretty reasonable.

The animal announcement was every other day, and the conservation pack's focus was not just on animals and themes but the whole conservation. That's why they made an announcement prior to release earlier than usual(normal packs). I hope I get to see a lot of cool animals, whether unique or normal, as soon as possible in the next animal pack.

and the Leopard was #2 at that point as well I think.
This goes back as far as the Africa pack, as the meta list was started after the Aquatic Pack. 6 months later and we had the #1 and #2 that were frontrunners almost the entire time; the meerkat and African Rhino. The Capybara overtook them in the month before that release, but that was probably due to the leaks that pretty much confirmed Meerkats/Rhino.

Then we should get some on the top of the list if we look back into previous packs. Can't wait to see the next one!

Middle East, Oceania and South America are the most underrepresented regions in the roster right now. So I hope that the next animal packs would change that situation. I would be happy with any of those regions taking a lead in Autumn dlc.
Also the Islands/coastal animal pack idea sounds interesting.
South America would be the dream. I just thought knocking out Oceania, which also needs to happen, would make a lot of people happy and it would move more Amazon animals to top spots.

Amazon DLC: Golden Lion Tamarin, Two Toed Sloth, Howler Monkey, Margay, Coati, Bald Uakari, Lesser Anteater, Emerald Tree Boa, Blue Poison Dart Frog (Alternates: plenty of other monkeys, Brazilian Porcupine, Black Caiman, Ocelot: Margay is cooler, would save Maned Wolf for grasslands)
Middle East: Crested Porcupine, Hamadryas Baboon, Dromedary Camel, Caracal, some small tortoise (Alternates: Arabian Oryx, Sand Cat, Onager: would prefer Somali Wild for the Donkey)
