Operation Bumper Sticker
Objective
Complete each Ax-weapon community goal as put forth by the Aegis Campaign.
Intro
On September 26th 3303, multiple Nexus Union commanders were called upon to investigate an unsubstantiated rumor of possible alien activity in a distant system, far from the safety of Nexus Union space. With very little information to go on, some calling this a suicide mission, Nexus Union pilots stepped up and volunteered to investigate these rumors. From Combat Pilots to Exploration Scientists, small fighter class vessels to light warship’s they set out, undaunted by the unknown that faced them in a dark far away nebula.
Once contact had been made, the rumors were quickly validated. The Thargoids were real, very very real. It was quickly discovered that our current weapons were no match for this new adversary. The Nexus Union lost many a ship that day, but eventually, we scored a kill after a very hard pressed battle with a fair side of luck.
For the rest of the bubble, the scramble was on. How could we defeat such an advanced adversary? Governments, Scientist’s, Military’s even Corporation’s began testing, building and releasing new technology to counter this new threat to Humanity.
Community Goals were announced for the gathering of info and materials to help in the creation of weapons to fight this new menace, the Thargoids. But like most things human, interest has waned. Community Goals are barely being completed. The new weapons needed to protect lives and homes are in danger of not being available to those brave and daring combat pilots that wish to face this new threat head on.
That is why the Nexus Union has officially announced its support of the Aegis campaign. The Nexus Union not only calls on its own pilots to help complete each new community goal, but all able bodied pilots to help deliver the materials needed to create each new Ax-weapon.
The Plan
This is an open community event, run in open mode, any and all pilots are welcome. The goal is to finish each Community Goal with a tier 8 completion. Information can be found on our discord channel dedicated to this operation. https://discord.gg/WzCNYGV
Trade wing
Run each CG’s as they come up. Each participating cmdrs will post screenshots of tonnage delivered either each day or at the end of each CG. There will be a mini competition between cmdrs, as in who gets into the top 10% for each CG and most tonnage delivered overall for the Aegis CG’s. Prize TBD.
Combat wing
Provide security at CG systems and stations. Again open to the community. However vetting may be needed.
HR/Media
Nexus Union Media Group will; maintain, update, promote on all media outlets as needed during the advancement of the Aegis campaign.
