What's better is when they do appear, but get so far behind they despawn. And then reappear once you get to the station you were headed to.

That was my point a few posts ago, but you said it more succinctly. It's a ridiculous occurrence. I've found the reappearance is practically on top of me, when seconds earlier, they were hundreds of light seconds away.
