The object despawn distance is too cllose!

It seems to me all I need to do is go about 10k from an object, and it despawns.

What gives? If I hatch-breaker a cargo vessel, it will often carry on running, and the cargo will be spread out over quite a large distance. Given the hatch breaker often only spills a few containers I often want to carry on chasing the target. If I do this, however, anything that was dropped in the first spill will despawn by the time I get back to it. This is rather annoying. I've lost about 100k credits in loot so far to this issue, so it's not a massive problem, but it is annoying.

go to contact when there are cannisters in space and you will see that there is a timer for each canister, they "despawn" when that timer hits 0 no matter how close you are.

This is true. They also despawn when you get too far away. About 10km.

True when you chase a mark too far away the y will despawn, even if you track your way back via your engine trails.

Needs to be readjusted. As the cargo had 97% health and i was 12km off 30 seconds later.

You speak about cargo but I have the problem that half the enemies I hunt disapear without a trace. Happens whenever they are 20km out of the instance center.
Also enemies disapear when they fall 8km behind you and have 10% hull left only. I can't count how many bounty and time I lost due to that game mechanics.
Don't know why Frontier made such extrem limits in range and times(cargo). Makes no sense. A good fight needs space and cargo tiem to pick up. Although I never pcik up cargo.
