Oculus disconnect solved!

Hi,

just a short note regarding headset / sensor disconnects in Elite Dangerous which seem to be quite common:

Since my CV1 I hat lots of disconnects of my CV1 within the game. After 10, 15 or 20 minutes the headset just went black and the Oculus app was showing me disconnect errors. Sometimes only for the sensors, sometimes for the headset, sometimes both. ...but the CV1 was working fine after running a game again. Immediately!

...but I wanted to play Elite continuously! So I tried all the recommendations: Switching off power management for every USB device I was able to find, checking cables and connectors for loose contacts, checking the HDMI connector for damages. No success. The headset / sensors still disconnected, especially with Elite.
I was about to open a ticket at Oculus for help or even replacement. Then I tried one final test:

I plugged headset USB3 and both sensor USB3 connectors into the mainboard jacks instead into a USB3 card, which I bought especially for the CV1, because this card was recommended by Oculus (Sonnet Allegro, latest Sonnet drivers installed).

...and now everything works fine! Just played Elite for about three hours continuously without a problem. Finally! Yay!!! :)

So testing different USB3 ports could solve the disconnect problem.

Since the last oculus update the sdk tool doesn't seem to connect anymore, and therefore I don't seem to be able to set the density to 1.4 or 1.5 before launching ED anymore. It is bad because the picture is much more crisper like that, is there a workaround?
