Roller Coasters The officially official Lithix coaster design thread

Hello folks!

I've been lurking around on the forums for a while now hesitant to post anything because, to be honest, the scenary and theming aspect is not something I've ever been that good at so a lot of the stuff I make is kinda hideous. Nevertheless I love making coaster track designs.

I always aim to make my roller coasters as extreme as feasibly possible without them being unsafe. My favorite thing to do in RCT2 was build roller coasters with a 9.99 intensity rating, normally without excessive g-forces. My coasters are realistic in the sense that a lot of them have transfer tracks (where possible) and none of them have excessive g-forces, literal head / foot choppers or anything else that may kill or injure guests IRL. That doesn't mean my designs are affordable but eh oh well.

Anyway I hope to post a lot of my work here as I have been very busy since I started in July!

To start this thread going I'll post my latest creation - an ultra compact floorless coaster with 12 inversions.

Any feedback is appreciated. Please bear in mind that because it is very compact it won't be the smoothest coaster I've ever made but nonetheless it's not too bad :)

More to come soon!

EDIT: Can't get the imgur album link tags to work so here is the full photo album http://imgur.com/a/gDHIz

Heya :) looks pretty nice imo. Can we find a video of it somewhere? Would be interesting to ride it.

Certainly.

Day-time pov: coming soon

Night-time pov: coming soon

Please note that the bump you encounter between the pretzel loop and the vertical loop (58-59 seconds in the video) is a glitch in the game and cannot be smoothed out sadly. The rest of the track is pretty smooth especially considering how dense it is. Please notify me of any issues/problems you see.

Maybe u can allow yourself to take more space for your coasters even tough i cant relate its size since i dont see anything else in relation to it on the pic :p

This coaster is intended to be as compact as possible, a lot of my other designs are much more conventional in their shape. The coaster is roughly elliptical in shape with a diameter of 26 squares (104 meters) on the longer side and a diameter of 11 squares (44 meters). This gives it an approximate area of 14375.93 meters which is enough space to fit 507 London Double Decker buses. Within this space is enough track to provide a 2 min and 13 second ride time and more inversions encountered per minute (5.41) than the Smiler at Alton Towers (5.09) - I really don't think I could pack much more track in tbh :(

It's likely that some or most of my coasters will be too intense as I get accustomed to this game's definition. Since we have no indication of ratings until alpha 3 I'll have to wait and see which of my coasters make it :/

Looks kinda like the smiler.

The look is very similar but the layout is very different. Won't lie though, it is inspired by the smiler as well as other infinity coasters and euro-fighters.

The compact coaster looks great, definitely going to download it off the workshop if you upload it :)

I will probably upload all of my coasters at some point if there is a demand for them. Hope you liked the other coasters and if not then please let me know why :)

It looks like those coasters have some much G-power.

It's hard to tell for sure since we don't have any g-force indicators yet but from my experience of RCT2 I don't think any of these coasters have dangerous g-force levels, definitely not lateral gs.

Anyway last coaster for today, will upload more some other time. A dive loop with interlocking vertical loops and a batwing that towers over the entrance to the roller coaster
