Well dear old Dad always said a pilot should record a log, so here goes my first log entry after qualifying out of Pilot school.
So Im CMDR AJGP85, stupid paperwork error and now thats what everyone sees never trust a bureaucrat!, Call me AJ though. Here I am in my new siny Sidewinder the Astral Dawn docked in the wonderful backwater of Bakers Prospect in Asellus Primus. Time to make history I guess.

Hardly the start I imagined, hauling minerals and smuggling trade data is not going to write my name in the annuls of history is it now. I guess even the most famous pilots have to start somewhere.
Well at least one good deed came out of today. Encountered some lost souls adrift in escape capsules, God's only know what hit their ship, but thankfully was long gone by the time I arrived, just as well seeing what it did to the Orca transport. Took in as many escape pods as I could, and transported them to Changi Dock. Netted me a nice rescue bonus and the survivors promised to help me out in the future if I ever needed it. Not that I think they will ever be in a state to help me, thought was nice though!
Saw an wonderful Imperial Eagle though in Eranin, I want one but im told they are exclusive to pilots of the Empire. Well I never did like the Federation, always one of the have-nots growing up its why I became a pilot. So first thing tomorrow Im off for Empire space and, a new life, a new Imperial Eagle!

Well today was eventful. I was all set to chart out to Empire space, or at least I was until I realised my FSD didnt have the legs for it. I mean its all well and good telling me "The Galaxy is at my fingertips", but its a bit pointless when I cant get out of the local cluster. So anyways, saw a call for help from the old homestead, apparently pirate activity is on the increase and their paying out massively for pilots to come help. Well Im stuck here and the money will help towards a new FSD, so off I go to help, purely altruistic of course..
ADDITION: Well me up that was close, not my brightest idea to go toe to toe with a Vulture! Here I was poaching bounties in my Sidey, when BAM the local "police" up and leave me one-on-one with this Vulture. I was ting bricks as I boosted my out of there, limped home with 25% hull and a charming message from my personal executioner to be, "hunt me down and flay me across his hull" was what he said. Pehaps I should scram before he makes good on that threat, you know as soon as he gets board of stalking me at this outpost!
ADDITION: 5 hours it took before the git gave it a rest, 5 hours of constant messages. I mean if he wasnt already a pirate I would swear he was deranged cant repeat the delights he threatened me with, give me chills even thinking about it.
ADDITION: Some good news, one of the guys I pulled from the escape capsule actually came good. Fixed me up with a cheap Cobra MKIII, I mean this thing was puled straight from the scrap heap and has a few holes in the hull, OK OK, alot of holes in the hull, but its FSD that will get me some space between me and physco Vulture exectutioner from hell. Granted the cheap Cobra did come with the condition I move some suspect cargo to LFT 820, but worth the risk to get me out of here.

So all fixed up, a few more bounties down and Im making a pretty penny in this Cobra. Still want myself an Eagle but hell why dont I just set myself up a fleet. Feel safer in this Cobra than my Sidewinder so have strayed back to Asellus Primus to help more at Beagle 2. Ain't afraid of no Vulture now.
ADDITION: Picking a load of Biowaste up here in ROSS 1015, it stinks and my cargo bay seems to be glowing, hope I dont grow any extra appendages! Easy money though transport it to Eranin pick up the cash simples.

F---, S---, B------- I hate interdiction, I mean who in the hell pulls a ship out of SC doesnt bother scanning the cargo and lays into you! Of course had to be a bloody Vulture pilot didnt it. Almost escaped the B------ but fat fingers here hit FSD instead of SC and of course I wasn't aligned with my jump target, no that would have been useful...
Just had enough time to jump into the SRV and jettison as my Cobra's reactor went critical, thankfully my fellow Pilots Federation member CMDR Dean D. thought that the SRV was just more debris. So here I am floating in a SRV in the middle of Eranin surrounded by Biowaste. Not a good day, thank F--- for insurance at least when I get picked up; IF I get picked up, I can claim on that. My clients however will not be pleased with my failure to deliver.

3 sodding days adrift in the sodding SRV, 3 sodding days until someone picked up my beacon. Thanks.
At least the insurance paid out, and Im kittind once again in a Cobra mkIII, lovingly renamed after my first ship! At least a bonus was awaiting me when I finally returned to dock, my ongoing efforts to help clean my home system was rwarded with a 7mil payout, enough for me to outfit my ship with better drives to get further out. A quick trip out to the wreckage of my old ship and I was able to salvage some equipment that Galnet tells me is profitable in the Kutja system.
B-------, Kutja is 26 FSD jumps away. Sod it lets do this not as if I have anything better to do today!
ADDITION: Well I got as far as Heinlein Port before I was forced to dock by pirates, on the brightside I met on old friend who offered me a gig collecting some astronomical data, apparently his employer is interested in exploiting the Coalsack region of space. Sod knows why it bloody lightyears away from civilization, but a mates rate on a Diamondback Explorer fully kitted with the best scanner tech going just cant be ignored.
