Let’s face it, Commanders, there is an overwhelming number of squadrons to choose from, which can be daunting at the least. But if you are anything like I was when I started searching, I wanted something I could feel a part of. Something smaller, something that could grow with me as an active participant. Unfortunately, I never found that, leading to the Onyx Blades' founding.
With our second birthday coming up, we remain a slow-growing group. Some may see that as a bit off-putting, but it has allowed us to organize on our own time and terms while forming friendships as we went.
We have always been open to recruits, but have never really jumped into a recruiting drive with gusto—until now.
The Onyx Blades presents the Elite Dangerous community of players with a growing organization dedicated to fair and fun gameplay. We are currently taking in new Commanders (+18) who wish to be part of what we hope will grow into a large but close-knit community. Play style is no concern. Roleplay is not demanded, but accepted and encouraged. If you like to play solo style but like to chat with others while exploring, we can also offer that.
Despite several years in operation, the Onyx Blades are still growing, but we can rise to something greater with the right help and dedicated Commanders. We are currently seeking pilots interested in helping with the squadron's overall creation, but we are very open to anyone. We ask that those who apply do so with an extremely open mind, since we are all a little nuts.
