The Original 'Toaster' ship

Hi All

I have been looking through the posts on ships making an appearance so far in the new game but i have not come across many nicknames.

I used to call the Panther Clipper the 'Toaster' to my mates at school because i could never remember its name but it was almost definitely modeled after a regular two slice toaster. Even decades later I see a flat toaster and instantly taken back to the Bernard's star computer/robot cargo run!

I can imagine the original games ship designer running out of ideas and one morning whilst eating breakfast....

Did anyone else call the clipper the Toaster or am I the only one?

I must admit that I never thought to give a nickname to spaceships. Perhaps Cobra MKIII is inspired of crackers?

Always used to call the Asp the 'Underpant Ship' as it looked like a pair of Y fronts when you see it from above.

Although it's my favourite ship I always called the Panther the flying brick(ahem)house. :D

But I can see the toaster reference is apt.

I thougth it was the humungus clipper that looked like a brick , flying Controls like a brick and did fly like a brick.

One of the reasons I never flew the asp is because I could never bring myself to explain the situation to my mom when i played FE on the TV in the living room. Why would I be piloting a pair of grundies!
