This is a fun question imho. It made me do some thinking and researching and I found out there are a whole lot of movies or series that sprang from a video game. The one that came to mind first was Fallout since me and my better half watched it at least three times beginning to end. (i've never played the game - shame) I can't think of a Movie that stood out that came strictly from a video game that was released recently. educate me ??

You should probably start a new thread for that. Also define what counts as 'recent' or 'stands out'.
As for the topic, I don't think it matter what source the movie came from. We don't have separate categories for Book to film, Play to Film, Came outta someone's noggin so why have one for video games.

Besides Halo, The Last of Us and Fallout of game to TV series, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed...Arcane: League of Legends on Netflix is definitely worthy of a watch. It's an animated series...which I'm not usually a fan of...but I watched it on recommendation from a friend and both seasons of the TV series had me hooked from beginning to end, it's way up there as one of my favourites even though I had previously never heard of or played the games. Fantastic art style and story telling with voice/character acting right out of the top drawer

I watched all of Arcane a couple of times (so far). I really liked Ready Player One too. There are some very nice short animated stories based on video games and one series I watched first time about a month ago was Secret Level (x2 so far). A couple of the episodes didn't float my boat but most of them were amazing imho. I also watched most of Love, Death & Robots a couple of times (the Jibaro episode is wild). I'm always looking for good animated shows, movies, shorts. ... its the hidden artist in me I guess

Because this whole forum is a video game forum so was bigin it up. its a billion dollar business. There are multiple music awards . also teh MOBOs that eminem seem to win . Also multiple film wards the Globes The Baftas. - Raindance was set up to specifically set up awards to celebrate indepednat film that literally any one can enter. They also run course. Youy can make aindoe fiolm with a smartphone now. Sorry but that post was a bit ignorant to what actually is reality There loads of categories. in oscars. Even for the backroom guys so you get to see the people behind the screen who make it all work
