EVENT DETAILS
This is a live role playing event and YOUR opportunity to make GALACTIC HISTORY. You effect the outcome of the event, both through in-game actions, as well as through "voting" in this forum thread.
The event opens TODAY (Friday) at 8:00 PM (GMT) on 2/9/3304.
Intelligence officials report that the Overlord will be in "open" for a minimum of one hour at the following times:
Further, a transmission was intercepted that is believed to contain the Overlord's initial location on Saturday. Unfortunatley, the transmission has yet to be decoded:
The Overlord will accept incoming friend requests during the event period (unless the number of requests becomes prohibitively large or the friend requests arrive during periods of critical in-game action).
The Overlord will endeavour to keep the Princess confined to his ship. She will appear as an "imperial slave" during cargo scans.
If 200 or more commanders nominate the Overlord as the new leader of the Pilot's Federation before 8:00 PM (GMT) on 2/11/3304 (Sunday), he will then release the Princess
to safety. Post your nominations to THIS THREAD in the following format: "I, CMDR <your name>, nominate Zarek Null to be the new leader of the Pilot's Federation."
If the Overlord fails to receive a sufficient number of nominations AND the Princess still remains in his possession as of 8:00 PM (GMT) on 2/11/3304 (Sunday), he will then deliver her to the Thargoids, and the event will end with her DEATH.
If the Overlord loses possession of the Princess (e.g., she is freed or killed by commanders), this ends the event, unless she is promptly returned to him by an ally.
Voice comms interactions with the Overlord are encouraged.
A finale video will later be published showcasing player action from the event and completing the "story."
Will the Overlord's bid for power succeed? What fate will befall the Princess? YOUR actions (or *inactions*) will ultimately decide!!!
