The point where the game gets boring

I know the 2.4 update went online, but the game make no more fun to me because i reached the point (1500+ hours) where i have done almost everything what the game have to offer.
Don´t get me wrong the game does not suck, the game is in my best top 5 games ever list.

To much money and every ship i want fully engineered, i have no plan what to do next [cry]

Don't blame the devs for your lack of goals. This is a toy: not something on rails from start to finish.

If you're having a problem with the costs, feel free to suggest solutions for it. And get ready for it being shot down. But don't make noise for the sake of it, you'll only attract trolling.

The game is only 2 years old. That's not much for an online game and the content can run out, especially after so many hours. That's normal. Just play something else for some time (like X-rebirth or Eve Online if you still have the vibe for SF) and come back, when some more new content accumulates in Elite.

Explore and screen shots. And blow up other ships for giggles. Troll npc miners. Fly into the sun. Destroy Wedding barges.

He did have goals for 1500+ hours. That's not the issue. The issue is he played a game for 1500+ hours and was surprised he got bored. At that point I would be power grinding newbs in multi-crew and helping them. I am only 65 on PS4 and I am already doing that.

Dude, if this game gets boring after 1500+ hours, then I'm in for a good ride! Have been playing for 2 weeks, and having fun so far!

Maybe take a break? Taking a break never hurts, and you may come back refreshed after a while, and with new goals (and hopefully new content) in mind!

I do understand you. I did not play as much but i am still at the same point as you.. Billions of credit, all the ship that i want ( not all of em ) and fully engineered. Lots of my friends didnt even make it to 2.4 as we do believe that what is missing to the game is a more team gameplay. Multicrew is nice for letting a friend who is in a small ship join you so he can get some easy money to buy a bigger ship, but seriously, when you all get conda's or corvettes, whats the point of joinning other ships... you have so much firepower to empty even the hardest combat zone when you jump in with 4 corvettes...

What the game needs in my opinion is a more teamwork base gameplay. Give us mission to create our own outpost, like a guild or clan hall in rpg's and pop in missions to get materials, data and mining material to upgrade or improve the outpost ... why not a land base... do small clan wars to gain control of systems.

Powerplay is nice too, buy why having npcs controling systems. Have group of players controlling systems and modify the economy. Should they play dictator or complete dumbass, have other players confront them and kick them from the system... lots of things come to my head to add to the already awesome game that is ED.

Still, dont get me wrong, this game is awesome and people who are just starting are in for an awesome trip... but like you said, even with Thargoid's return, i do not see alot more to do than wanders the deep space ...

I didn't know there were underage pilots in the game.. Oh you mean Miners... My bad

Although Destroying Wedding Barges got a giggle out of me. There should be an achievement for that, like... Genghis Kahn of The Wedding or some such. With a badge of a military boot crushing a wedding cake.

After more than 1800 hours over the course of 4 years of Warframe,I can't relate. I still have tons of things to do in that game and never came into their forums to complain about being bored*. I suggest improvements still.

* I was taught when I was younger, "only the boring are bored." Since that accusation, I find myself rarely bored as there's always something to do -- even with my toys.

I wish there was more to do on long-range exploration trips (hired trips, not trips just for the fun of it).
It's seems there's more I could be doing than: Jump --> System Scan --> Fuel Scoop --> Repeat

Lol, you could do some DSS scans.

Me, I got bored when I had to start unlocking engineers. It's PURE BUSYWORK, going to each engineer, doing their errands, and then running around getting a handful of materials for whatever upgrades I need.

I can't stockpile any REAL amounts, I have to find specific materials/elements, and leave MOST of the stuff that I find to rot. This is not fun.

Flying around in supercruise is getting to be a chore. I need to drop in on only certain signatures, because the rest are things that I can't afford to loot. Plus, sitting there waiting for numbers to tick down is wearing on me now. I have so many other things that I can do, watching numbers is not interesting.

PVP is versus people with god-rolled murder machines. Not even gonna try, it's not fair.

I can't even muster up the interest to go play in the Pleiades, I flew 5000ly for Palin, yet Maia is too far now? Huh.

Actually this is one of main problems of ED. Many of people simply leave the game because there's real problem with content. The game needs badly more things people can do in it. And it must not be simple multiplication of game branches. Actually there are enough different branches in game. But most of them lack of content which would make possible more levels of involvement for people. And content for people's leisure without necessity to hold the control of ship and situation around.

I believe this has been addressed... A LOT. The feedback from the players as been an increase in salt and public relations/articles have confirmed the glacial approach that the devs often take with not only content but fixes as well. With the former, we've been rebuked by the devs with a combination of comedy and sarcasm. With the latter, they have since moved on (again).

It took the devs 8 months from random first encounters to conflict with the Thargoids and little to no word when we'll be seeing landings on worlds with atmospheres. Honestly, I'm at a loss how to address it other than with further patience and personal goals until such time as the devs hand out more what they've teased and promised.
