The Poor State of PvE Combat

That doesn't say anything about the state of PvE combat. It's just demonstrating a specific issue where NPCs don't recognise ramming as an attack.

I get the full rewards that I would for combat, I have none of the challenges that I would normally face from combat. The fact that you say and I quote "It's just demonstrating a specific issue where NPCs don't recognise ramming as an attack" would indicate that this is a specific issue regarding NPCs verse players when it comes to combat.

Now this doesn't work when they are automatically hostile, but NPCs in res sites are not automatically hostile, and most mission targets are also not automatically hostile. So yes this does look poorly apon the state of PvE combat, which is already in an abysmal state since the heavy nerfs it received a few weeks after 2.1 was released.

Congratulations pilot! It sounds like you found a bug.

Did you raise it in the appropriate forum?

What is your Elite combat rating? It is easy starting out but as your rating increases so does the skills of the NPCs. It is currently well balanced for all players.
As a player I've got to disagree. For me the NPCs are poor and the the balance is not good. All levels need to be increased by a couple of notches for them to work for me.
Now some of this is down to how I play, and not everyone is starting over on a regular basis. Whilst finding the right level for all is impossible, I see part of the problem is that NPCs skills are based on the characters rank, not the players skill. I would far rather see the NPCs skill levels be linked to the area they are in, not the player.

I'm Elite/Elite/Ranger and it's far from being "well balanced" it is in fact horribly imbalanced.

Because you would know, wouldn't you.

The hyperbole is real with you, but you know what I'll post another just for you. By all means you can report this issue as well.

Yep, we can call up peoples profiles and look at their posting history both posts and started threads

Bug reports take all of 45 seconds and is guaranteed to be read by the Developers, usually it'll get added to a list of things to fix and get addressed at some stage in the future.

Just before people say it's an autocomplete form and doesn't get added to users posting history, check mine: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/search.php?searchid=13974082
3 recently (at time of posting) highlighted in bold with the pre-fixes "Beta and ED64"

So yeah, currently it's showing as zero bugs reported.. Unless of course you have multiple forum accounts, which is not allowed by the rules. Or unless you are posting support tickets which is the place to get losses due to bugs returned and not the place to report bugs.

Either way before this turns into an almighty fight and the mods come in I'm a little curious how you are posting bug reports without them appearing in your profile as that's what people use when they try to get a measure of who they are talking to on the Forums (at least it's what I use)...

Edit: Trying to be fair here and show the path and thinking I made to get the conclusion that there is no bugreport. I would be very happy to be proven wrong in what I say above. :)

Your Honor, the defence and the prosecuter have stated their cases, we are ready for a verdict...

( I recommend the book "Hanging Judges I Have Known" )
