My orginal copy of Elite for the C64 still has the price tag on the box.
In 1985 I paid the princely sum of £14.95 for my copy of Elite.

Which in todays money is £37.82

Which is pretty much in line with the cost of premium game titles today, even though development costs and user expectations are much much higher!

Time to increase that Kickstarter pledge

I forgot which thread but I did a comparison between UK and AUD prices for ELITE on disk when it first came out.

You search for "inflation calculator" for your country and you can type the amount and year. ELITE here was over $100 yikes. Sorry I forgot which thread I wrote that in though.
