Elite / Frontier The project without name

Nice screens. GLFFE is a step in the right direction and is great as is, but imagine if someone manages to update the graphics to something fairly modern by today's standards. It's a pity that the Elite Club source code releases never happened because not only would we probably have had graphic updates but more missions and features too. Seems that some are or have attempted to do whatever they can anyway which is amazing.

GLFFE is a step in wrong direction. 2d hook have no perspective for improve graphics.

OK. I phrased it wrong, sorry. What I meant to say was that GLFFE is an improvement over the original because everything looks sharper - but yeah, I get what you're saying.

I sure do hope that it isn't an April Fools joke.
While I feel that the ships aren't 100% true to their original look&feel, they are still a tremendous improvement over the bundles of polys we've seen in FFE.

One question:
Will this mod/remake/engine update correct other weak spots of FFE?

For example there is a number of astronomical, bleh class, errors in FFE not present in FE2 and likely caused by accelerated developement:
-worlds with methane weather system and corrosive atmosphere (like Titan) lack the "corrosive atmosphere" or any atmosphere, for that matter, part.
-all planets have their rotation axis perpendicular to the ecliptics, which is kind of bleh in case of worlds like Uranus.
-some planets have gone out of sync, for example, La Grange in Alpha Centauri system no longer deserves it's name.

The only thing that I can say is:

When will it be ready for the download?

I agree with DraQ: I sure do hope that it isn't an April Fools joke.
Really good work guys! Thumbs up!
