The quest for C3 gimballed Beams

Large population industrial systems sell them too. More chance in industrial-refinery systems than in industrial-extraction systems.

BTW the C3 gimballed beams were not what I expected. They are superb against shields but struggle against hull (let alone armoured hull). I had two of them in a Vulture but I sold one and replaced it with a C3 cannon to have more punch against hulls. The cannon was effective but clumsy due to low fire rate. In the end I settled for two C3 gimballed pulse lasers again. Pulse lasers are good allrounders.

Thanks to everyone. Duty dude on the bug forum thinks might be an issue with my particular ship (although another clipper pilot got some) or computer client, but may well try Polevnic or beta-1 Tucanae later.

Kudos to Krieger for managing to power two C3 beams on a Vulture!

After looking for hours in many high tech systems, i found them, literally right now. Wu Kich (system) Tasman Vision (station). Boy was I overjoyed when i found them.

Why?

Why all this sodding about for kit?
I had a hunt for class 2 fixed beams that took me about 45mins to an hour and was already getting mental, God knows what the OP was going through.

And for what?
Realism?
Fun?
A sense of eventual achivement?

There is NO reason why kit should be so hard to find, and whats more where you found it once is no sure fire bet to find it again.

This is, unfortunatly, pure FD.

June 16th, 2015 - None of Amarak stations sells it (Vela Port and Werner von Siemens Vison), only 3C Beam Lasers fixed and turreted versions.

I ask politely for next time you put that a system sells C3 Beam Lasers (Gimballed), PLEASE put an screenshot (do it by pressing F10) showing an evidence when, where and that weapon is sold. IMHO I think it will help far more.

The availability of weapons and modules in the outfitting section of a station changes from time to time. In fact I don't even now for sure if two players at the same station at the same time see the same weapon and modules in outfitting (stocks could be set client-side).

I am TIRED (CAN YOU READ?! TIRED!) of reading people posting locations without being sure of whatever they are posting. Also, tired of keep traveling to almost every station and not finding that weapon. I want just a location of a C3 Beam Laser (Gimballed) to buy and finish equipping my ship. Every help is good if I can finally get my ship with that weapon.

PS: You probably already know this but all ships, weapons and modules are available at all times in the Founders World station in the Shinrarta Dezra system (at a 10% discount). But you need a permit for that system. You get the permit if you reach Elite rank or if you backed Elite: Dangerous during it's Kickstarter campaign back in 2013-2014.
