Was sad to hear this earlier, he was very much my Bond.

While Roger Moore was never a great actor (he himself said he could not act in the Olivier sense, but was a good technical actor) he was charismatic, good looking, and enjoyed himself (and this came through the screen). He also joked "When I was doing The Saint on television I had two expressions; as Bond I've managed to work up to four". He was most proud of his knighthood, as it was for his charity work and not his acting (and he received it on the behalf of Unicef as a whole).

Sir Roger George Moore will be missed. Heaven have called home one of their Saints.

He was my favourite Bond.

British, proud and able to take the Mickey out of our own culture without offending anyone.

He really did keep the 'British end up' :D

An old friend left us. RIP Lord Brett Sinclair ! RIP Roger !

You mightn't know it, but Sir Moore was a talented illustrator as well.
His good friend the late Tony Curtis was a painter too.

These guys leave quite a legacy.

A bit late to the thread but i need to pay tribute. The best Bond, certainly my favourite, Roger Moore, a proper English gentleman (a tory of course but i can't hold that against such a legend). My favourite Bond movies are a View to a kill and the spy who loved me, followed by Live and let die and the man with the golden, rewatching them will now be quite emotional. He will be missed.
