General / Off-Topic The real paradox of Video game magazines.

So no one apparently knows they exist
Pays for them
Reads them
Places any weight on what is written
Like film the reviewer seem to hate the genre or don't really understand it.
Serious gamers are too busy playing the game so don't want the magic spoilt by behind the scenes expose
So how do they still exist?

I can't really complain because magazines are why my Cobras have rare skins LOL.

If I'm interested in a game I research it online... there are enough website and blogs to make it possible to avoid print magazines entirely.

I think I buy magazines partly just for the aesthetic of having a pile in my room.

Doesn't hurt to see small indie games I might have otherwise missed though.

When I was young, I regularly bought the magazines on the computer hardware and the software.

I kept them all in the attic.

It starts in the period of Intel 286 - MS-DOS 5.0 ... until the year 2005

One day I will read them all again with great pleasure (several dozens).

Maybe I'll be nostalgic and I'll cry a little :)

Probably. I have every other disorder so I might as well go big or go home.

From what I can ascertain. You have not received the correct treatment.

Does a brain scan reveal any abnormalities?

MY GP has diagnosed me with repetitive strain injury after repeated trips to Hutton Orbital.

I can Haz your stuff magazines?:D

As with all kinds of print media, the Internet killed it.

It is not a bad thing because internet allows the access to information sources very diverse and less expensive than the purchase of tens of magazines.

And also allows to save a little the forests for the production of paper.
