The real problem with 1.2

My god, it's full of.... FUN!

Seriously, this was the best night I've had in this game. The new RES variety and spawn rate is great, the Vulture is damn, damn fun to fly, bounty hunting's making better bank than it used to.

So the real problem? I was really on the fence about buying the OR DK2 or waiting for the consumer version. After tonight, I kind of feel like I have to. So thanks, now I'm gonna spend $350 more on this game!

yeh, I gotta admit I did not realize how badly this game needed Wings (+ overhaul of comm panel) untill it hit... Shows Frontier knows their stuff

Combat has improved immensely in this patch and is great fun - the AI seems way better + they are using railguns / guided missiles etc. which they weren't before (never mind Wings) and a lot less predictable (the only annoyance is the 100% bailing out of Vipers at 30% hull and always just before their shields come back up). Coming back with my hull damaged a lot more now (I've even had to start learning to use FA-off )

Wings has been a HUGE improvement to the game. Really can't give the devs enough credit for how well they nailed it with the 1.2 patch. I really wish they've been able to have what we have now a few months ago for release. I've enjoyed it even without wings but this patch really had stepped the game up, I just wish more of my friends hadn't given up on the game already as a result of the lack of what we have now. Working hard on getting them to come back as I know they'll love it.

Even if you have it a week before they release a consumer version it would've been worth it!

My only real worry is that I already find the bumpiness / cockpit vibration to be somewhat nauseating, particularly during boost (I'll be honest - I sometimes close my eyes while boosting...) . I worry that going VR will amplify that problem.

There is only one big problem with Wings. In last three days I slept altogether nine hours. :|
