The reason behind the reason

There is a reason behind the idea that Lore is no longer Lore. But you're not going to like it. It's the real reason why you can be in the same place as someone else, but they're not in the same place as you. You think it's called instancing, but you're wrong.

The real reason why the mycoid virus didn't happen, or perhaps it did, is because that was a different universe. The use of modern Hyperdrives has broken down the walls between universes. Every time you jump, your chances of ending up in a different reality increases.

This is why people are saying there was no war with the Thargoids, when in fact, many of remember that there was! This is why there are no cat people, no edible poets, and why the Empire's homeworld was covered in water. Nature abhors this and constantly tries to re-converge, like elastic. Despite this occasionally things get lost, like the Thargoid war.

It's really simple when you think about it. You never know, when we finally do meet them, they may remember a different reality to the one you are in now. Beware!!!
