The Region/Permit Locked Areas

I came across and video of the creator of ED talking where he goes on about locked off areas to be able to build on them.

Could this be the reason for the permit locked areas.

Interesting. I saw this video in the early days, but obviously forgot abut it until now.

With the upcoming (but delayed) release of Odyssey, I hope we're much closer to finding out about those areas.

The Guardians and Thargoids haven't had any love for a while, I hope with Odyssey that the whole barnacles and Guardian site things comes back - REALLY would love to see the Guardian AI/robot species make an appearance...

It's been so long since I've seen it too. Must be at least a couple of weeks since it was last posted here

I searched for the url in the forum and, well, you could have knocked me down with a feather, I counted 9 times it was posted in 2020.

Problem is, since launch, FD have added "new stuff" without using the permit zones, andhas actually locked off more regions, not opened them

I assume as they develop stuff they release they are simultaneously developing stuff for future updates they don't want people stumbling across, maybe Odyssey will see some of these areas opened up as it is such a bit update.
