it means whoever gave you the rep didnt have enough themselves to make a difference either way - it could either be positive or negative, normally the comment gives it away.

Grey means the giver of rep has no (or little) rep themselves - without a comment, it can be hard to tell if it's good or bad.

im interested to know if that none rep turns into real rep at a later date or remains none rep well after the forum member is able to rep:S cos I have had more than I care to remember.

it's just that I seem to get rep, and the comments are good ( when left:)) but I am not sure how it works ... I think I need Steak and chips to work out this conundrum ... it's the only way ...Or maybe I could hunt (Sorry track) Carol Vordaman down ... not to sure it would help ... but it would be fun ... Man I a m getting old :)
