The revamped missions system - having a blast

I just wanted to give a quick thanks to FD for the revamped mission system. I know it's had teething troubles and is still giving problems for some people, but as of yesterday's patch it's been working just fine for me - and I'm really enjoying it.

My rebooted character is still low-ranked, but nevertheless I'm frequently picking up multiple missions worth over 100k, often all for the same system. I've been concentrating upon smuggling and pirate-killing missions with a smattering of cargo transport and courier work when it happens to match my next destination, and the varied activities are keeping the game fresh for me, while the mission structure and faction ranking makes it feel like my actions have purpose.

I know I could probably make more per hour doing bulk trading - but I'm doing all this in a combat-fitted Diamondback Scout that's fun to fly and can take on pretty much anything that interdicts me. It's not quite durable enough to perform reliably against assassination-target Anacondas, but once I've upgraded a little bit I'll be adding those missions to the mix too. I've already progressed up to Knight rank, so I'll be checking out the Imperial Courier next.

I like the small addons they´ve made, improved rewards for combat zones and assassinations finally working. But there are still frustrating bugs around.

Just to name an example, yesterday before the current patch I ran into another warzone mission where the war was not actually on, so I had to abandon it. And today I though, lets try this again. I confirmed that yes, there is a war going on in the system before accepting with zones and all. But... When I went to the zones to fulfill the mission objective (kill 6 "military" ships), it turned out that both sides of the war were labelled as "lawless" system defense forces and not eligible targets for the mission count. :( The war was generated in system called Pikum, near Lembava that is the base of one of the powerplay powers.

I like the greater use of SC fior mission resolution and alternative path. SS are slowly becoming random encounters.
Still bugs to iron out but much better.
