The Rift
It seems to have been a back up plan against Thargoid invasion but honestly... I do not think that is all there is to it. The technology today has grown to create a galaxy with 400 billion systems. You can't lay old lore exactly the same way as it was placed upon Galaxies with around 200 systems.
This mission was made for Children of Raxxla. Obviously they did not find the major goal of the entire mission. Zurara is just the confirmation that we have something more to find in that area than just few outposts. The location is very far from human space so we must add in the factors.. Rich, Power, Black OPS, Military... Illegal testing or something to hide. Preparations for a few.
What I would be looking for out there in the rift is the historical sites. The first contact zones. Raxxlans had alliance with humans, so where did we first met them? It was definitely not in the rift because our technology level would not allow it. They came to us... And this brings the rift and the guardian areas into game play.
Rift would actually be the perfect zone to have historical sites from the first alliance, very much like we have with Guardians...
My very first question is how are Raxxlans related to Guardians? Their similarity can not be completely dismissed. I think Guardians might actually be Raxxlans to begin with. And it would make sense if they gave us old technology just to keep Thargoids at bay.
What was so important that we had to take a ship over 10 000 LY away from earth just to kill the crew and pretty much leave the engines on. Zurara is in use. It takes around 10 hours to get there by modern ships... So to be honest.
Zurara is in use.
Why?
Why are they in the direction of Andromeda? -- We setup an alarm system there... For what reason exactly. There is absolutely no real reason why to abort the mission, and now there is even more reasons to continue it.
So what are we looking for around Zurara?
