In preparation for the Sagittarius-Carina Mission re-launch, I've been working on a website where we can collect all your images and videos from the mission. I thought this would be a nice way to make sure your photos and recordings from the mission can easily be seen by everyone in the Elite: Dangerous community. However - due to web hosting policies - the main purpose of the site cannot be file sharing. The site is mainly for viewing images on the site, with the option of saving those you like. Videos are always external. ​And please don't direct link to images on the site from the Frontier forums. Use imgur for that. Thank you.

Note: I'm by no means a professional web developer, just a student doing this in his free time. The website is currently in beta. Feedback and suggestions are always welcome.



Anyone can submit an image or video from the mission via the Submit Image/Submit Video forms, this thread or posts@sagittariuscarinagallery.com
To prevent spam, inappropriate content and generally keep the site a nice and dapper place, all submissions must be manually approved before they are published.
We're interested in the following information when you're submitting an image or video:

Images:
Your CMDR Name
Title
Nearest camp (Where was the picture taken?)
Description (optional)
Your image

Videos:
Your CMDR Name
Title
Video URL
Nearest camp (Where was the video recorded?)
Description (optional)
Video thumbnail (optional)

Submissions that do not include the required information will not be added to the gallery. Allowed image formats are .png, .jpg, .jpeg. Any resolution is allowed as long as the file size is under 5 MB.

You have the ability to vote/like images and videos in the gallery. Every week, the most liked images the past week will be put up on the front page slider. The most liked video will be the featured video on the front page.

To start with, we'll have one album for every camp on the route. But we will be happy to add more as people submit their content.

Many of you have started uploading some images to the gallery which is super cool, and I'm hoping more and more people will join you as the expedition grows. Seeing your images and reading about your adventures is a lot of fun! :D

If you're interested, I will be holding some photo contests and such in the near future - with prizes! :) Will let you all know when that happens.

Sorry, not sure I understand what you mean. Can you elaborate?

All I know is that you submitted a photo to the contest earlier which I approved, then you submitted another one - the one you have in your post there - which is currently pending approval. Would you like to enter your new photo into the contest instead of the one you submitted previously?

When I tried to log in on the new settings it said it could't find my username or email.

I couldn't see my old image so I submitted the new one.

If you can replace my new one with the old one please.

Done that for you now. :)

I have kept your old photo in the gallery, just took it out of the contest. If you want to delete this you should be able to do so at http://www.sagittariuscarinagallery.com/your-posts/

Let me know if you run into any more issues.
