The Ships of Elite....as cars

Ok so I had this odd thought about which cars would match with which ED ships. Just based on arbitrary size, looks, purpose etc

The Sidewinder would be a Smart Car or a Nissan Leaf or Chevy Volt
The Eagle would be a Mazda Miata or MGB GT
The Hauler would be a VW Transporter or a Ford Transit Connect or maybe a Kia Soul
The Adder would be a Mini or PT Cruiser
The Imperial Eagle would be a Nisan 380Z
The Viper would be, what wlse, a Dodge Viper

So what do you reckon? Anyone else have suggestions for these or any of the other ships? Am I the only one that made this comparison, I couldn't find any existing threads on this?

The Cobra would be the Cobra!

Fer De Lance has to be the Gillet Vertigo then - the similarities are striking....

Federal Dropship - Ford Transit 2013 Edition
Federal Assault Ship - Ford Transit 2015 Edition
Federal Gunship - Ford Transit 2009 Edition

:)

Sidewinder..you know...those starter cars..Ford focus etc

A hauler would cover all trucks short of a semi...ie ford f 150

T9 10 etc or whatever they are called...Semi's

All imp ships are asian vehicles P...yawn

The Asp, Viper and the like are all the common commuter vehicles.

The fed ships and Vulture are the kick butt ...get out of the way or see the local body shop vehicles of all sorts and they arent necessarily the consensus minded wow cars either.

Python are all the mid-luxury wanna be vehicles ie...Audi, Merc etc etc...pricey ..nice to drive but thats about it

Anaconda and the new power ships to come are the Bentley's, Maserati's etc

I like to think of the Cobra and Viper as their modern day namesakes: the current incarnation of the Cobra is the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 w/ factory cobra badging: that car has more horsepower, more torque and a higher top speed than a modern Dodge Viper. The Dodge Viper, on the other hand, handles better and goes around a curved track faster, and is also much smaller inside... The sound is wonky, though: the naturally aspirated V10 in the Viper sounds terrible (IMHO) vs the supercharged V8 in the Shelby (unlike their game counterparts, where the Viper sounds great!).

Car comparisons don't work, ED ships are much closer to actual ships, if you must have some kind of wheeled comparison that is in any way relevant you need to be looking at commercial and military vehicles not dodgy car comparisons.

Your lack of imagination is depressing me.

The idea occurred to me when I saw a Fiat 500 and thought it looked like the front of Adder.

It works if you have some imagination...;)
