No. We tried that earlier to start where there was a lot of people. The Siege is another attempt to give players a chance to fight in a different somewhat populated system. Not much we can do about the instancing though. That's all FD
Love a bit of bloodletting, but as a loyal citizen of the Achenar Empire: I think you've gotten our Empire somewhat mixed up with the Empire from Warhammer 40,000.

The problem though, and why I was saying they hiding griefing behind fake RP (whether they are greifing or not is another debate, not going to say whether they are or not anymore) is because they are saying Braben, which is a completely out of game entity. If you are going to do something for RP reasons, it should be for RP. This is why as far as I am concerned they are just using the RP excuse to drum up some PvP. If that's what they want to do though, more power to them.
Why do we have to be forced to use known things in the game universe? It's RP, I can praise a sun as a god and say I fight for it. We're crazy crusaders that believe in some Emperor that isn't the current one. Just because it doesn't match what you think is proper roleplaying doesn't mean it isn't right. Besides as I've stated many times already. It is an attempt to get some PvP going and to add a fun spin to said attempt. Wouldn't change it for the world.

Attached is a screenshot of their current thread and some posts where they discuss strategies and new targets. It looks like the next system they plan to grief is Sol.
They have two "callsigns" which are shown in the OP that they use to identify if you are from 4chan or not, so if someone says one of those words to you, you should say the other one back if you don't want to be griefed.
I've included the URL to the thread in my screenshot.
