The Sirius permit - slightly disappointed

So I thought I would finally go get my Sirius permit. I'd read a bit about Cmdrs having a few issues getting this, what with having to do missions to gain reputation and waiting for the permit mission to turn up.

I had been whizzing around looking at the new large alien sites so I had some exploration data collected but not that much.

I headed on over to Davy Dock in the Procyon system, a station where the Sirius Corporation is a major faction. The station supervisor welcomed me and announced that they were looking to expand and that they would give me a good price for any exploration data I may have. Excellent I thought and went to Cartography to see how much I could get. I only had a page of data and they were offering 2M Cr for it, which was the same as another station offered - so their good price wasn't that great.

Anyway I sold them my one page of exploration data and got a message saying thanks, you are now allied to the Sirius Corporation. Good I thought that's the first step done, now just need to do some missions to eventually get the one for the permit. This was the part I was looking forward to but I didn't have time yesterday and locked up my Cobra III and called it a night.

Today I power up my Cobra III after the update just to make sure everything is working. I still don't have time today to do any missions but I thought I'd have a look anyway to see what's on offer.
Top of the list was what looked like a Sirius permit mission. Strange I thought and immediately accepted it.
Then there was a ding and a message appeared in my inbox saying I'd been given my Sirius permit.
Hmmm, that was easy.

Set course for Patterson Enterprise in the Sirius system and engage.

Now, that was a lot easier than I was expecting.
Was it ever a problem?
Have other Cmdrs got the permit this quickly?

I thought it was the Qwent invite that was bugged?

Oh well, atleast you got in quick!

I found the Sirius permit easy, I just did some bounty hunting in HIP-something and got allied in an hour. Lol
Permit mission appeared soon after. Done. I never understood the stigma behind the Sirius permit.

I worked for it at a period when the permit was not coming up as it should have done ..... for about 3 weeks of intermittent playing backwards and forwards to Procyon !

So you must have triggered the "Don't Upset Nick Sticks This Morning" Switch :)
