The Slow Boat to Nowhere Expedition

This gas giant is really kinda close to that star...

Well this is a big day for the Slow Boat run. I hit a major way-point today. I crossed from the Sagittarius-Carina arm to the Scutum-Centaurus arm. Now begins the long trek down the scutum arm to the whispy then end. My way point system was Pria Chraei LC-D D12-39. Yay for progress. :)

So I work long hours and nights. I got home today and checked the forums only to see the reaction to FD's actions on the engineer exploit. Kudos FD I wholeheartedly support your actions, and I did not even own Horizons. I was so impressed with the thoughtful and balanced response to the actions of some in the PvP community I finally bit the bullet and decided to show my support by buying the Horizons upgrade even though I am not in a position to even use any of it and will not be for a while.

Oh, but you can! You can go down to the planets (I wouldn't bother to actually land, as you don't have an SRV and landing can be dangerous).

Canyon Crawling is an awful lot of fun :)! There are some really beautiful planets out there, especially the low G icy moons, some of them have gorgeous canyon and mountains. Absolutely worth a visit. I think you'll end up re-naming the thread to "The - even more - Slow Boat to Nowhere Expedition".

Good luck with your first visit planet side!

You find the damndest things out on the rim. This is way up there on my list of favorite things I have found. In fact a system like this is why I love exploring. This is the first system like this I have found and would love to hear from others if they have found anything like it. The system has all three of the biggies for exploration. an ELW, a WW, and Binary AW's. This is the first time I have found Binary AW's and it gives me the hat trick now, I've found Binary ELW's, WW's and now AW's. God I love exploration in ED.

EDIT: I hearby name this system Trifecta Binary

...and I was happy to be back after 247 days :)

Frawd

I think bright side. I have been able to play in open for almost 2 years without running into any four man packs of dead eyed murder clowns, I have not lost a single ship in that time, I have been able to fly without even having my insurence buy back, I have not had to even think about the engineer grind, who needs naval ranks, and I have seen some very cool stuff. As a matter of fact my appreciation for ED has grown over time as I have noticed small things that no one talks about. I am no fanboi the game has issues but I have grown to love it despite that.

I want to go on a trip like that myself but i am not sure i could handle being away for that long

Lol yeah I had serious doubts when i set out. I was thinking a year at first. It is tough but after a while you kinda grow into it. It gets easier as time goes on, at least that is what it has been like for me.
