Unlikely since whites are by far the majority in the US with 223 million/72% of the population. You'd need an immigration of more than 6 million non whites per annum to reach an equilibrium by 2040. And only if white people stop procreating at once and no white people immigrate or emigrate from/into the US.
Whoever said that, he/she is talking absolute crap.
Rather 63% currently according to most texts on this subject (63.7% non-Hispanic whites and 8.7% Hispanic whites). According to Wikipedia in 2050
- American white (non-Hispanic): 46%
- African Americans: 15% (against 13.6%)
- Hispanics or Latin Americans: 30% (vs. 16.3%)
- Asian Americans: 9% (against 4.7%)

And if you don't make the distinction between hispanic whites and non hispanic whites they still have seventy percent. Tbh, I don't see why there should be a difference.

Then when asked about the misogyny and racism and threats to deport 11 million people; they say: Oh well, he was just saying that, he didn't really mean those things.
He just told people what they wanted to here. There was a 3rd generation African American, stating he would vote for trump, because he offered poor people like him, jobs and security. At the same time, there was a white supremacist, saying he would be voting for trump, because he was going to make America pure again and get rid of all the other races.
Telling the disaffected that he was there for them and the die hard core of republicans, is what got him the win.
